Jishou economic development zone is adjacent to Baotou Maoming Expressway in the north, Xiangxi Economic Development Zone in the south, Qiancheng Avenue in the West and Jishou Ring Expressway in the East. The planning scope includes Jishou East high speed railway station, two sub district offices and two townships, with a total of 13 villages (communities).
"Developing Qianzhou new area and building a new Jishou" is a major strategic decision of Jishou City in response to the national development of the western region and speeding up the urban development. It is also an important platform for Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture to implement the western development. On March 28, 2000, the Economic Development Zone officially broke the ground. In the past 10 years, under the correct leadership of the Party committee and government at a higher level and the strong support of various departments at all levels, the construction of Jishou Economic Development Zone has begun to take shape.
Date of approval
On March 19, 2001, with the approval of the provincial people's government, Jishou Qianzhou economic development zone was established (xzbh [2001] No. 37). In February 2006, Jishou Qianzhou economic development zone was renamed as Hunan Jishou economic development zone.
geographical position
Jishou economic development zone is located in Qianzhou, the southern end of Jishou City. National Highway 209 passes through the city and runs across the north and south. It is 80km away from Guizhou Fenghuang airport in the South and 150km away from Zhangjiajie Hehua airport in the north. Zhiliu railway runs through the whole area. Hangrui Expressway and Jihuai Expressway meet in the Development Zone, so the traffic is convenient and fast.
