Xiangtan Zhaoshan demonstration area, Xiangtan City, Hunan Province

Xiangtan Zhaoshan demonstration area Xiangtan Zhaoshan demonstration area is located in the Middle East of Hunan Province, standing on the East Bank of Xiangjiang River. Established on June 8, 2009, the zone is one of the five pilot demonstration areas for ecological "green heart" of Changsha Zhuzhou Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration and comprehensive reform of "two oriented society" construction in the whole province. The zone has four grass-roots units, namely Zhaoshan Town, yijiawan Town, Zhaoshan tourism economic and Trade Development Corporation and Zhaoshan scenic area management office.

There are 11 administrative villages and 4 communities in the area, with a permanent population of more than 60000, including 20300 agricultural population, 17500 urban population and more than 20000 floating population. The total area is 68 square kilometers, including 51511.5 mu of forest land, with a forest coverage rate of 50.53%. The forbidden zone is 36.23 square kilometers, occupying 50.58% of the land; the restricted zone is 21.75 square kilometers, accounting for 30.58%; the controlled zone is 13.51 square kilometers, accounting for 18.84%. Because of its large area, high proportion, high forest coverage and good vegetation protection, Zhaoshan is the core area of "green heart" in a complete sense.
Zhaoshan demonstration area is located in the junction of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan, and is located in the "Y" shaped center of the three cities, which is the throat of water and land transportation of the three cities. The distance between Zhaoshan demonstration area and the central highway of the three cities is no more than 15 km. Beijing Zhuhai Expressway, shangrui expressway, G107 and G320 national roads meet here. Beijing Guangzhou railway, Hunan Guizhou railway and Wuhan Guangzhou high speed railway pass through the area. It is only 30 minutes' drive from Huanghua Airport. Changsha Zhuzhou Xiangtan intercity railway has a station here, which is known as the "Golden Triangle" of Hunan Province. It will become the core area and golden area in the construction of Changsha Zhuzhou Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration in the future. The road network structure of "three verticals and four horizontals" has initially formed in the territory. The "three verticals" are landscape road in Xiangjiang wind belt, Furong Avenue and Zhaoshan Avenue, and the "four horizontals" are Zhaoyun Avenue, Baihe Avenue, Hongyi Avenue and Zhaohua Avenue, with increasingly convenient transportation.
