Linquan County Linquan County, subordinate to Fuyang City, Anhui Province, is the northwest gateway of Anhui Province. It is located in the southwest of Huanghuai Plain and the northwest of Anhui Province. Its geographical location is between 114 ° 50 ′ - 115 ° 31 ′ E and 32 ° 35 ′ - 33 ° 09 ′ n. It borders nine counties and urban areas in Anhui and Henan provinces. The county is 62 km wide from east to west and 68 km long from north to south, with a total area of 1839 square kilometers. According to the feedback from the sampling survey of the Municipal Bureau of statistics, by the end of 2019, the permanent resident population of the whole county was 1.659 million, an increase of 9000 over the end of last year.
Linquan was called Shendi in ancient times. In 1042 B.C., the tenth son of King Wen of Zhou, Wang jizai, was granted the title of Shen (son) state. In the 26th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (221 BC), he set up the county of sleep and the county of Pingyu in the West. Linquan county was formally established in January 1935. It is located in shenqiuji, and belongs to the seventh Office of Anhui Province. Since 1996, it belongs to Fuyang City, Anhui Province. Linquan county is a continental warm temperate semi humid monsoon climate zone, with warm and humid climate, moderate precipitation, sufficient sunshine and four distinct seasons. It is warm and rainy in spring, cold and snowy in winter, hot and rainy in summer, cool and sunny in autumn. By the end of 2018, the county's highway mileage was 3036 km. Linquan county is the hometown of Jiang Shang, the hometown of acrobatics, the red footprint and the pasture of Central Plains. In 2019, Linquan county's GDP will reach 36.97 billion yuan, an increase of 8.3% on a year-on-year basis at comparable prices.

Linquan was called Shendi in ancient times.

In the first year of Yongjian in the Eastern Han Dynasty (126), Liu Xian was granted the title of Marquis of Fuyang, the Marquis state of Fuyang, and Pingyu county.
In 583, Baoxin county was abolished and Shenzhou was established. Baoxin county was divided into Fuyang county and Shenqiu County.
GAOTANG county was established in the southeast of Jinxian County in 618, the first year of Wude in Tang Dynasty. It was abandoned in six years and entered Ruyin county.
In the first year of Zhenguan (627) of Tang Dynasty, JuYang and Shenqiu counties were abandoned and handed over to Ruyin county.
In 706, Shenqiu County was restored to Yingzhou.
The Northern Song Dynasty was under the jurisdiction of Shunchang Prefecture, northwest Beijing road.
In the early Ming Dynasty, Shenqiu County was abandoned and reduced to Shenqiu town. Yingzhou was a Fengyang Prefecture.
Anhui Province was established in 1667, and Shenqiu town was under the jurisdiction of Yingzhou, Anhui Province.
In 1914, huaisi road was set up in Huaibei, Anhui Province, and Linquan was located in Fuyang County, huaisi road.
In 1928, Daocun county was abolished, and Linquan still belongs to Fuyang county.
In September 1934, a new county was established in Xixiang, Fuyang county. Because the county is close to Quanhe, it is named Linquan county,
Linquan county was formally established in January 1935. It is located in shenqiuji, and belongs to the seventh Office of Anhui Province. There are three districts under the county.
In 1939, it was transferred to the third administrative supervision area of Anhui Province.
From the 36th year of the Republic of China to the 38th year of the Republic of China (1947-1949), Linquan was divided into three counties, namely Linquan, QUANNAN and Quanyang, and Linquan City, which was under the jurisdiction of the four prefectural committees and the four exclusive departments of Henan, Anhui and Jiangsu.
In March 1949, Linquan County, QUANNAN County, Quanyang county and Linquan city were abolished, the old boundary of Linquan county was restored, and a new Linquan county was established.
Since 1952, it has been in Fuyang District of Anhui Province.
Since 1971, Linquan county belongs to Fuyang area of Anhui Province.
Since 1996, it belongs to Fuyang City, Anhui Province.
In April 2020, Linquan county will withdraw from the sequence of poor counties.

There are two types of geomorphic Genesis: plain between rivers and floodplain. Hejian plain: Linquan county is the main geomorphic unit, distributed in the vast Hejian area. The terrain is flat and open, which is composed of green yellow variegated loam accumulated by Quaternary upper Pleistocene rivers; floodplain: it is distributed on both sides of Honghe River and Quanhe River, 2-5M lower than the level between rivers, about 1km wide, with flat ground and slightly inclined to the riverbed. It is composed of Holocene yellow flood accumulation of comprehensive red loam, sandy loam, brown yellow light yellow sandy loam and silty sand.

Linquan county has many rivers and convenient transportation. It is adjacent to Honghe River in the South and Quanhe River in the north. In the middle, there are Guhe River, Runhe River, Yanhe River and Liuan river. The natural river runs through the East, and there are Linai River and jienan river. The artificial river runs through the north and south. Linquan River belongs to Huaihe River system, which is divided into four small water systems.
Quanhe river system, Quanhe River (formerly known as "xiaorushui", also known as "Yinghe") originated in Henan Province, with a total length of 236 km and a drainage area of 5222 square kilometers. It is 54-7 km long and has a drainage area of 966 square kilometers.
Gu river system, Gu River, originated from Jiangzhai Jinan xiaozhuzhuang. In the southeast, it passes through tianqiaokou to Xincai County, Tuqiao to wanglaozhuang, jiaoqiaozha to zhongziwan, shuangganggou in the north, xiexinqiao and xielaoqiao (shuangzhenshiqiao) in the south, Xinglong bridge and Weiyan bridge in the southeast, Gaoyan bridge to zhaoqiao in the East, Funan County, Gonggong bridge and Miaosi bridge to zhongcungang, and Menghe river. It has a total length of 112 kilometers and a total drainage area of 846 square kilometers. The territory is 47 to 5 kilometers long, with a drainage area of 397 square kilometers. It was treated as the standard of once in three years in 1964.
Runhe river system, Runhe River, originated from yangtutun, changwan Township, flows through wanglaozhuang, fanwa, Caoqiao, Laoji and tubiji in the southeast to daliuzhuang in the southeast, flows into Funan County in the East, flows through erlangmiaoqiao and Tianji in the southeast to Yingshang County, and flows into Huaihe River in the southeast. It has a total length of 174 km and a total drainage area of 1293 and 8 square kilometers. The territory is 34 kilometers long, with a drainage area of 330 square kilometers. In 1958, from below Laoji to the junction with Funan County, it has been cut off and straightened, and excavated as jienan River, which flows through Funan County to the southeast. There are still 18 kilometers above Laoji. The main tributaries are wuzhigou, yaojiugou, lijigou, cuizhaigou and Xinggang.
Honghe River system, Honghe River, originated in xiaoshidian, east of Fangcheng County, Henan Province. It flows northward through MoZhuang in Yexian County, turns eastward through Wulidian in Wuyang County, flows southeast through Yangzhuang in Lvdian, flows northeast through Xiping County, passes Beijing Guangzhou railway in the north, passes through wugouying North in laowangpo, passes through the southeast corner of Yancheng County, turns southeast into Shangcai County, flows southeast into Pingyu County through taqiao, flows southward through Miaowan in houliu, flows southward through Yangbu into Xincai County, and flows southeast through guochangwan into Xincai county Northeast of the city, Southeast of the city, through dungang to Mawan, along the county border, zigzag southward, through Heilongtan turn eastward, through Shibanqiao, huilongwan, weitaizi exit into Funan County, to gezhainan into Huaihe River. The total drainage area is 12380 square kilometers. The territory is 10 to 69 kilometers long, with a drainage area of 162 square kilometers.
