Respecting the Lord and the people, a Chinese idiom, pronounced Z ū nzh ǔ Z é m í n, means respecting the monarch and benefiting the people. It comes from the book of choosing with Li Gong.
The origin of Idioms
The eleventh part of Su Shi's book of choosing a book with Li Gong in Song Dynasty: "although we are in the time of Huaikan, if we have someone who can respect our Lord and help the people, we will forget to do it. We will lose our fortune and give it to creation."
