Do business for private
As a Chinese idiom, Pinyin is y ī ng ō NGX í ngs ī, which means to seek personal gain by taking advantage of official business. It's the same as "taking advantage of official business and pretending to be private". It comes from the biography of Chen Chong in the later Han Dynasty.
The origin of Idioms
In the biography of Chen Chong in the book of the later Han Dynasty, it is said that "those who break the prison are eager to get rid of the fierce pain, while those who hold the constitution are tired of slandering, deceiving, visiting and abusing articles, or doing business for public and private purposes, and showing off their authority and fortune."
