fragments of ancient texts
As a Chinese idiom, the Pinyin is y í PI à NDU à NJI à n, which means scattered and incomplete ancient books and records. It's from master Chen's notes on the picture of bachelor's degree conferring classics.
The origin of Idioms
Mei Zengliang of the Qing Dynasty wrote in master Chen's book "the picture of a scholar conferring classics" that "if we fail to pass on his learning, we should not pass it on to others. Although it was believed by various Confucians at that time, it is often the case that the details are not visible in later generations."
