"A long night with many dreams" is an American suspense and thriller movie directed by Howard Hawkes and starred by Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Dorothy Malone and other actors. It was released in the United States on August 23, 1946.

The film tells the story of Kalman, the youngest daughter of rich enwood, who falls in love with a private detective, but is rejected because of mental illness. She kills the private detective when she loses her mind. This became the handle of the casino owner masle Thornwood. After the truth came out, masle was killed by enwood's employees.

Synopsis

Philip Marlow < I > (< / I > < I > Humphrey Bogart < / I > < I >) is a private detective. On this day, he is invited to the home of stern wood < I > (Charles Waldren) < / I >. Stern wood asks Marlow to investigate a debt about his daughter. His daughter Carmen stern wood < I > (Marta weeks) < / I > owes a bet to a man named Geiger Debt. When Marlow wants to leave, Vivian, the eldest daughter of stern wood, tells him that the real purpose of her father's investigation is to find a missing friend, and Marlow doubts the letter. The next day Marlow went to look for Geiger, but he heard a gunshot in front of Geiger's house. When Marlow went in, he only found Geiger's body, Carmen sternwood tied up and a camera. Marlow took the camera and sent Carmen sternwood home. When Marlow returned to the scene, he found that Geiger's body had disappeared. And the driver of the sternwood family died in a car accident. The case is becoming more and more complicated.
