Idiom story
Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty ordered the execution of general Quan shancai, who accidentally cut down the cypress trees in Zhaoling. Minister Di Renjie thought that Quan shancai was not guilty of death, so he took Zhang Shizhi to persuade Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty to release the thief who stole the jade ring from the temple of Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty, xinpila to read the notice of the immigrants, and so on. It proved that the wise monarch must rule the country according to law, and finally saved Quan shancai.
The origin of Idioms
Lu Xun's "a brief history of Chinese Novels: Qing Dynasty's human novel" said: "Baochai Miaoyu said from Xu, citing extensively, using punishment very frequently."
