Motherly love and filial piety is a 1941 feature film directed by Yan Meng and Zhu Ji, starring Zhu Jianqin, Yu Liang and Du Yu. The film tells the story of Zhu Xiuyun first abandoned by her husband, and then separated from her young son. Later, Xiuyun was falsely accused of murder. The lawyer defending Xiuyun was her son who had been separated for many years. Finally, it came to light that Xiuyun's mother and son were reunited.

Movie plot

Zhu Xiuyun was first abandoned by her husband, then separated from her young son, and finally became a prostitute on the street. Later, Xiuyun is falsely accused of murder. The lawyer who defends Xiuyun happens to be her long lost son. Unfortunately, the mother and son dare not recognize each other when they meet in court. Fortunately, the matter finally came to light, and Xiuyun and her son were reunited.
