"Rhapsody of the underworld" is a black comedy film released in 1991. It is co directed by Mark Carroll and Jean Pierre genet, and co starred by Dominic Pinot, Joan Claude and Dreyfus.

The film tells the story of Louis Ben, the clown of the circus, who is in the butcher's pocket. Unexpectedly, the butcher's daughter falls in love with him and helps him escape.

Synopsis

In an era of deliberate neglect, scarce food has become a frightening and crazy life-saving straw, or eating, or being eaten, and people begin to cannibalize themselves. Good clown Louis Sen < I > (Dominic Pinot) < / I > chooses to escape, carries his luggage and rushes to the remote suburb alone, and a deli that is hiring becomes his destination. He was met by the excited eyes of the butcher (Jean Claude Dreyfus) and the tenants. The reason is the unwritten rule that the new employees will become a feast when there is no hunting target. In the interweaving of doubt and curiosity, the ignorant clown gets the feelings of the butcher's daughter. The same lonely and kind girl decides to do everything to save her lover's life.
