Synopsis
In the winter of 1939, Wei Desheng, commander of a company of the Northeast Anti Japanese Federation, was seriously injured and fell into the ice in a fierce battle. When he woke up, he found himself in a puppet post. He waited for an opportunity to kill the puppet squad leader. With the help of a patriotic puppet veteran, he escaped from the post and dragged his seriously injured and purulent right leg along the road begging for money. He had only one idea - to go back to the army. When winter comes and spring comes, Wei Desheng meets xiaoxuzi and elder gold digger Qi who leave the team by chance in the valley. In order to cover up his identity and get the "national accounts" so that he can return to the team smoothly, he has to stay for the time being with Uncle Qi. Wei Desheng and uncle Qi became friends in need because of their common experiences. Because of the betrayal of the traitor Xiao Xuzi, Wei Desheng fell into the hands of the Japanese aggressors. Torture, mental torture and false shooting failed to make him yield. When the enemy asked him to go down the well to carry coal, he ventured to find a waste wellhead and led the crowd to escape from the tiger's den. From summer to autumn, Wei Desheng continued to go south. One day, he fainted by a stream deep in the forest and was carried back by young woman Yu Zhen. Under the careful care and care of Yuzhen, Wei Desheng's injury got better soon. When Uncle Qi came, Wei Desheng knew that Yuzhen was his daughter. In this unusual period of time, Yu Zhen and Wei Desheng established a sincere relationship. Yu Zhen's love melts Wei Desheng's heart, but his loyalty to the revolutionary cause defeats his love.
