Bear the old and carry the young, a Chinese idiom, Pinyin is f ù L ǎ oxi é y ò u, which means to describe the tragic situation of the whole people's mobilization and displacement. It comes from the biography of Wu Taibo in the spring and Autumn period of Wu Yue by Zhao Ye of Han Dynasty.
