The year of his birth and death is unknown. The word is Xiao Zhi. He was born in the late Northern Song Dynasty and the early Southern Song Dynasty.

He made friends with Wang Zi. In his collection of snow streams, Wang file wrote the poem "send sun Xiaozhi back to Jinyun". Yuefu yaci was selected as one of his poems, according to which quansong Ci was recorded.
