Ye Shixi, whose name is Lianggong, is a native of maping in Liuzhou, Guangxi, and was born in Qianlong of Qing Dynasty. When he was a child, he was lonely and hard-working. He traveled all over the world. Where he went, local scholar officials were happy to make friends with him. From the end of Qianlong to the beginning of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty, Li Xianqiao, a poet of Gaomi school, lived in Liuzhou for many times. Ye Shixi and long Zhenhe, Ouyang Hao, Huang Zhang, Luo Xixian, etc. learned from him and visited the famous sites of Longcheng.
Sun Guya, a man of the time, wrote that ye Shixi lived in a "crane's nest". Li Xian and Qiao Yun said, "the crane's nest knows how far away it is and is not willing to follow the customs. Who can say that the more snow there is?" The title of Ye Shixi's poetry collection is Yuexue collection. Ye Shixi's poems have the style of the Tang Dynasty and become a famous poet. His poems enjoyed a great reputation and had a certain influence on later Liuzhou poets. He is the author of Yuexue Ji, a copy of which is kept today. The collection of Sanguan Yingling, Qiaoxi Shichao and the collection of late Qing poems compiled by Xu Shichang are all recorded in Ye Shixi's poems.
"Gaomi poetry school" was born in the important town of Chinese traditional culture. Gaomi, where the cultural heritage is very strong. Therefore, the poetic activities of the Gaomi school clearly reflect the traditional culture based on Confucianism in terms of values and personality pursuit, and have distinctive regional characteristics. In the Qing Dynasty, Gaomi poetry was very active. In the past 200 years from the early years of Kangxi to Jiadao, there were hundreds of poetry societies. He was also praised by the poets as "San Dan", "San Li", "Hou Si Ling" and "Wang's five sons". Liuzhou Ye Shixi got the word "Pian".
