Etiquette of using Chinese tableware

Chopsticks are the most characteristic tool in Chinese tableware. We should master the etiquette of using chopsticks when eating.

(1) Handle with care: when handing out chopsticks before meals, you should wash your hands clean. Then straighten out the chopsticks. Gently placed in front of everyone's table, must not throw, must not sit at the table with chopsticks on tableware.

(2) To be placed correctly: chopsticks are usually placed next to the bowl, not on the bowl. Chopsticks are in pairs. When you place them, you should align them. Don't place them crosswise or vertically. Don't put one with a big head and the other with a small head. When you leave temporarily during the meal, you should put the chopsticks gently on the table, put the rice bowl beside you, and don't insert them in the bowl.

(3) Don't wave chopsticks: chopsticks are tools for dining. You can talk with each other when you eat, but don't use chopsticks as props to wave them on the table. In order to avoid chopsticks fighting, we should avoid other people's chopsticks.
