Emergency treatment of epistaxis
Nasal trauma, rhinitis, nasal diseases, hypertension or menstrual compensatory bleeding may lead to more than one case of epistaxis. If it is not handled properly, there may be more bleeding in mild cases and hemorrhagic shock in severe cases.
The treatment methods are as follows:
(1) When nose bleeds, should lengthen chin, face is tilted slightly, but forehead should not be tilted too high, lest blood flows to larynx or mouth, cause chest tightness or nausea.
(2) Squeeze the nasal cavity with thumb and index finger for 5-10 minutes, quietly extend chin and breathe with mouth. At the same time, cold water can be applied to the forehead above the nose.
(3) After hemostasis, do not pinch and wipe the nasal cavity, sneeze or do strenuous activities in a short time to avoid bleeding again.
(4) If the above methods still can not stop bleeding, or often epistaxis, should be timely to the hospital for comprehensive examination and treatment.
(5) Because of the serious damage of nasal cavity and nasal bone caused by collision, we should also accept the doctor's repair and treatment as soon as possible.
