Warning of abnormal nasal discharge

Normal nasal discharge is usually light yellow liquid. If abnormal, it may be the sign of some diseases

(1) Yellow green nasal discharge: it is a sign of atrophic rhinitis, common in 20-30-year-old women. It is characterized by dry nasopharynx, decreased secretion of mucous glands, difficult to eliminate secretion, large amount of yellow green purulent secretion accumulation in nasal cavity, often accompanied by headache and epistaxis.

(2) White nose: This is a sign of chronic rhinitis. The main manifestations of the disease are nasal obstruction and runny nose. When the nasal congestion is serious, it can be accompanied by nasal sound, olfactory decline, dizziness and distension, pharyngeal dryness and pain.

(3) Yellow purulent nasal discharge: common in wind heat cold, chronic rhinitis, paranasal sinusitis. This kind of yellow purulent nose is not only large in quantity, but also sticky and hard to blow out. (4) Clear water nose: common in cold or acute rhinitis and upper respiratory tract infection. The main manifestations of the disease are congestion and redness of nasal mucosa, accompanied by dizziness, headache and other symptoms.

(5) Bloody rhinorrhea: unexplained nasal bleeding, sometimes small blood volume, sometimes small blood clots, sometimes blood filaments, which is an early sign of nasal cancer.
