The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is a university full of vitality, proud history and outstanding achievements. Its predecessor was the Hong Kong Polytechnic (developed from the Hong Kong Polytechnic and the Hong Kong Government Higher Polytechnic), which was renamed the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1994.

PolyU is located adjacent to the Hung Hom Cross Harbour Tunnel, covering an area of 93500 square meters. In the past decade, PolyU has experienced large-scale and rapid expansion. PolyU is currently the UGC funded university with the largest number of students in Hong Kong. Its courses meet the needs of the business community and the community. While meeting the human resource needs of the Hong Kong community, PolyU also actively provides professional consultancy, training and applied research services to the public and private sectors.
