Furongshan National Mine Park, Shaoguan, Guangdong
Furongshan National Mine Park is located in Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, close to Shaoguan City, covering an area of 21.70 square kilometers. It was approved as one of the first batch of national mine parks by the Ministry of land and resources in August 2005. The park preserves the remains of coal and limestone mining, as well as a large number of geological relics and cultural landscapes.
It has formed three major scenic spots, including the theme sculpture square scenic spot, the garden sketch scenic spot, and the Mine Park Museum, supplemented by Rongshan ancient temple, weather station, viewing platform, Mufurong garden, Mulan garden, Furong cave, Furong lake and other scenic spots. It is a comprehensive national mine park integrating geological disaster control, ecological environment protection, inheritance of mining culture, and leisure and tourism functions.
