Baoshan scenic spot is located in the northwest of Shunchang County, in Dagan town and yuankeng town. It is composed of Baoshan, Yanshan and Qitai mountain, with a total area of about 30 square kilometers.

Baoshan scenic spot is located in the northwest of Shunchang County, in Dagan town and yuankeng town. It is composed of Baoshan, Yanshan and Qitai mountain, with a total area of about 30 square kilometers. It is adjacent to Wuyishan, a world heritage site, in the north, Mangdangshan, a provincial scenic spot in the East, and two national scenic spots, jiangleyuhua cave and Jinhu in Taining, in the West. According to the classification of scenic spots in China, it belongs to mountain scenic spots. The scenic spot has a long cultural history, rich and colorful natural landscape, cultural landscape and astronomical landscape. Its main features can be summarized as "three treasures", "three wonders" and 36 scenes. "Three treasures" are as follows: first, Baoshan Temple, a national key cultural relic protection unit, a palace building with full wood sand and rock structure in Yuan Dynasty, which is only seen in China; second, Shanghu village culture composed of Ancient Ginkgo community, ginkgo village; third, agriculture and forestry tourism culture, a national bamboo hometown and a demonstration plot of high-yield Phyllostachys pubescens forest. "Three wonders" are the colorful and strange sea of clouds, sunrise and Buddha light in Baoshan. Thirty six scenes refers to the unique natural landscape of Baoshan. It highlights the overall beauty, wonder and danger of natural landscape and human landscape. It has important ornamental value and is the main tourist attraction in our county.

Baoshan scenic area is a branch of Wuyishan Mountain which extends to the east of Shanling mountain. The main peak is 1305 meters above sea level. When you climb the peak, you can see the mountains, the clouds are billowing, and the futun River and Jinxi River are like silver belts winding around your waist. The scenery is magnificent. It really has the feeling of "climbing to the top, looking at the small mountains". There are many peaks in the scenic area, including steep Baoshan, towering Qitai mountain and winding Yan Mountain. Most of the peak rocks are covered with primeval forest, with rich species and lush vegetation coverage rate of about 99%. The distribution of plant diversity is obvious. Streams, streams, pools and waterfalls are scattered all over the mountains. The falls range from a few meters to a hundred meters, and the width varies. Torrents falling from the sky strike on the rocks and in the water, causing bursts of water mist. Under the sunlight, they turn into rainbow clouds, which are extremely beautiful. Among them, the hundred meter waterfall in Baoshan and the eighteen section gorge in Yanshan are the most spectacular and beautiful. The main streams in the scenic spot are Loushan stream and Luofang stream. The peaks on both sides of the stream are verdant and steep. Looking up from the bottom of the ravine, the rocks are like mushrooms hanging in the air, crumbling and breathtaking; the water in the ravine is clear, and there are salamanders flashing from time to time; the strange rocks in the valley are full of thousands of years old turtles, hippos, dolphins, gonglong eggs, and so on, as if you are in a natural exhibition hall of strange rocks; "fairy in the butterfly" - Golden spot pecking Phoenix butterfly is flying up and down in the valley, with a variety of strange flowers and plants, like a wonderful mountain A landscape painting.

Baoshan scenic spot has a long history of culture and rich heritage. According to the records of the world, there are ancient temples in the Tang Dynasty (existing sites), ancient temples made of sandstone, wood and stone in the Yuan Dynasty, etc. Among them, Baoshan Temple with sandstone and wood like stone structure in Yuan Dynasty is the only ancient temple with sandstone and wood like stone structure in China. It was approved as a national key cultural relic protection unit by the State Administration of cultural relics in 2001. Its affiliated cultural relics, such as Nantianmen and Dasheng tomb, and cliff inscriptions in shanlidong, are rare cultural relics and physical evidence for studying the local monkey culture and the literature of the pre western tour. The excavation, discovery and development of these cultural relics are of high ornamental, cultural and scientific value.
