Malizhai

Malizhai belongs to Shengcun Township, Yuanyang County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is located in the west of Shengcun Township, 5km away from the township government. The road to the township government is dirt road, which is 53km away from Nansha county.

It is adjacent to Shengcun village committee in the East, Dongpu village committee in Panzhihua Township in the south, quanfuzhuang village committee in the West and Zhulu village committee in the north. It has jurisdiction over 11 villager groups including luomadian, shangmadian, Bada and malizhai groups 1 to 8. At present, there are 813 peasant households. By the end of 2006, there were 4132 rural population, including 4132 agricultural population and 2652 labor force, including 1477 people engaged in the primary industry.

The village covers an area of 12.28 square kilometers. The village committee is located at an altitude of 1640 meters. The annual average temperature is 15 ℃ and the annual precipitation is 1370 mm. It is suitable for planting grass fruit, pepper, potato and other crops. The village has 3281.53 mu of cultivated land, 0.79 mu of cultivated land per capita and 5747.9 mu of forest land.

The terraces in malizhai scenic area are large, spectacular, beautiful lines and strong three-dimensional. From the malizhai River, which is 1100 meters above sea level, thousands of terraced fields stretch to the top of the mountain, which is 2000 meters above sea level. Hani villages, such as malizhai, Bada, shangmadian and quanfuzhuang, are lifted into the sea of clouds. Standing in malizhai tea factory to view terraces, nearly ten thousand mu terraces are like a sea of slopes, sparkling, and the scenery is very spectacular. After four o'clock in the afternoon, the vast sea of slopes gradually turns pink and red with the setting sun. Then it turns pink and white. It's a place to watch and photograph terraces changing with time.

Hani village is a wonderful place for hikers and photographers because of its beautiful scenery, rich folk customs and warm hospitality.

Introduction of malizhai photography site

Honghe Yuanyang malizhai terrace is located 14 kilometers east of Yuanyang Xinjie town. This is the best place to shoot the night scene in Yuanyang terrace. After March, it's better to shoot the sunset here than in Bada and malihouzhai mountains.
