brief introduction
The museum was first initiated by the Party branch of zhaopinglong village in 1989, and was strongly supported by the party organizations and veteran comrades at the higher level. It was gradually built as a village level revolutionary memorial hall with complete functions through voluntary donations, collective investment and a small amount of funding from the higher level.
Zhaopinglong, formerly known as zhaopingyang, means that the ancestors of local villagers moved here from Pingyang County. They have been poor, United and revolutionary for generations. Zhaopinglong village has a superior geographical environment, surrounded by rivers on three sides, which is convenient for hidden struggle. As early as 1926, Zhaoping Cuan peasant association was established. In 1927, the zhaopinglong branch of the Communist Party of China was established to lead the peasants in the struggle against rent and interest. From January 30 to February 1, 1930, Jin Guanzhen, inspector of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the second enlarged meeting of Yongjia central county Party committee. In May 1937, Liu Ying, Secretary of the Fujian Zhejiang border provisional provincial Party committee of the Communist Party of China and political commissar of the Red Army advancing division, came to zhaopinglong and resumed the activities of the Party branch, which was later expanded into the central branch of the eastern district. Long Yue and other leading cadres of the party in southern Zhejiang also often carry out activities in this area. In 1939, Wu Yu presided over a party meeting here and announced the establishment of Yongrui Central County Committee. In the long revolutionary struggle, the party members and the masses of zhaopinglong made great contributions and sacrifices to the revolution.
