Dongwai village is located in the south of Hengshui Town, Jiang County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, with convenient transportation and close to the intersection of Wenyuan expressway. There are three resident groups in the village, with 1030 agricultural population and 16 non-agricultural population in the area under its jurisdiction. The total number of households is 267, including 600 labors. The land area is 2360 square meters, and the cultivated land area is 2100 mu, including 800 mu of irrigated land, 300 mu of dry land, and 1000 mu of returning farmland to forest in mountainous areas. As Hengshui town is an important trade center in the west of Jiangxian County, business workers and migrant workers have become the leading industry of the villagers. There are 110 business workers and 400 migrant workers in the village. The non-agricultural income of villagers accounts for more than 5% of the total income. As a grassroots administrative village, Dongwai village is composed of Party branch, village committee and health center. Among them, there are three branches and a total of 20 party members.

Recent development

The village should establish a good rural working mechanism. On the 10th of each month, Party members and representatives learn rural knowledge on the Internet of distance education.
