Hanyang city site

Hanyang city site is located on the West Bank of Zhexi River in the upstream of Nanpu River in the north of Pucheng, Fujian Province, with mountains in the West and open land and rivers on the other three sides. The city site includes two large affiliated hills, covering an area of about 200000 square meters. The ruins of the city wall can be seen, about 2-5 meters wide, with traces of ramming. The buildings are irregular, and generally extend along the bottom of the ridge or valley. At the middle edge of the south wall, the hill is the highest point in the city, which is a beacon tower for alarm. Hanyang city site is the site of Fujian and Vietnam period, the upper limit can reach the late Shang Dynasty, and the lower limit can reach the Western Han Dynasty. It is the earliest and well preserved city site in Fujian so far.
