Yangmeiling

Yangmeiling village is located in the south line of West Lake scenic area, which is the birthplace of Jiuxi eighteen streams. It's surrounded by mountains and trees. The water of the docks flows through the village and Trent all the year round. There are lots of tea gardens around, and the antique farmyard, which is made of pure gray bricks and white tiles. It sets off with the natural scenery. I can't help feeling like I've entered a paradise. There are few tourists in this area, so the environment is quiet.

In the old days, Myrica rubra was abundant in the dock. There were two kinds of Myrica rubra, which were dividend and white. The Hangzhou people called the white one "Sheng Seng Mei". In the Song Dynasty, there was an old woman named Jin who planted the Myrica rubra. The taste of the Myrica rubra was very sweet and famous. It was known as "Jin Po Myrica rubra". In Su Dongpo's poem, "the new house has not changed a rafter, only the Myrica rubra is worthless. Mo Gongjin's family struggles are bitter and sweet, and Shen Liao is not his wife. Zen is called this. Nowadays, tea plantations are all over the area, and there is no trace of common bayberry, let alone "Jinpo bayberry", which is a pity.
