Da Guang Ming Bridge

Daguang bridge was built in 1983, 350 meters long and 30.5 meters wide. It is an important river crossing bridge connecting Hedong and Heping districts.

To Daguangming bridge is the end of walking experience of Haihe scenic line from Yongle bridge to Daguangming bridge.

There are magnificent sculptures on the bridge, as well as the golden "big bright bridge", which is very imposing.

People often fly kites here. At night, the scenery is more beautiful and it's worth seeing.

Da Guang Ming Bridge

Dawangming bridge was built in 1983, with a width of 30 meters, including 24 meters for carriageway and 3 meters for sidewalk on both sides. There is a bicycle ramp on the north and south sides of the main bridge on the West Bank of Haihe River in Tianjin. The whole bridge is 110m long, with 3 holes in total. The span of the middle hole is 53m, with 9.5m hanging beam. The upper structure of the main bridge is a prestressed reinforced concrete simply supported single cantilever box girder with hanging holes in the middle, the hanging beam is a simply supported T-beam structure, and the lower structure is a bored pile foundation, reinforced concrete bearing platform and solid pier.

brief introduction

As the bridge is located in the center of Haihe River Development in Tianjin, connecting shiyijing road of Hedong District and Qufu road of Heping District, it is a cross sea river channel between Heping District and Hedong District, and an important part of inner ring road. Because it is close to Xiaobailou area and crosses Haihe River, it always bears excessive traffic pressure.

The reconstruction project of Daguang bridge was officially started on October 5, 2007, opened to traffic in May 2008 and completed on May 15. The new Daguang bridge is decorated with the theme of "bright", which includes: four European style bridgeheads are newly built at the bridgehead, and sculptures with the theme of sun, moon, star and Chen are installed on each bridgehead respectively. Through the decoration, the Daguang bridge will be transformed into a delicate and beautiful European style bridge.

Bridge after reconstruction

After reconstruction, the full width of the bridge is 37.80 meters, including 34 meters of roadway, 0.4 meters of outer railings and 1.5 meters of sidewalks on both sides. The leading road of the bridge forms a separated interchange with the East and West roads of Haihe River, and the East and West roads of Haihe River underpass the bridge.

The cross section of Daguang bridge has been rearranged, which greatly improves the traffic capacity.

The renovation of Da Guang Ming Bridge embodies the European classical style in landscape creativity and strives to embody the deep meaning of "Guang Ming". The design of bridgehead sculpture takes the sun, moon, star and Chen as the theme, and aims to embody the connotation of the Great Bright bridge with the theory of "sun, moon, star and Chen" as the carrier.

The four sculptures are integrated with mythological elements.

Through the natural transition from light to darkness and then to light, the theme of light, noble and fair is set off. The sculpture "day" symbolizes that the sun is at its zenith, which is the source of life; "month" implies aestheticism, a good home and a full moon; "Star" implies kindness, integrity, clarity and the spirit of unity and cooperation; "Chen" represents love and beauty, understanding and fairness, balanced ideal and noble quality.
