Zhang Leping Memorial

The memorial hall of Zhang Leping is located in the center of Haiyan County, Zhejiang Province, the hometown of Mr. Zhang Leping,

"Sanmao paradise". In October 1995, the people's Government of Haiyan County established the memorial hall of Zhang Leping in Sanmao paradise. Ba Jin, a famous writer, inscribed the name of the hall. The hall has exquisite structure, unique shape and elegant environment. A bronze statue of Zhang Leping and Sanmao stands on the lawn in front of the hall. More than 100 pieces of Zhang Leping's first born comics, collections of different versions of works, relics, calligraphy, etc. are displayed in the hall, which are reflected by pictures Mr. Zhang Leping devoted himself to the revolution, engaged in the process of artistic creation, and cooperated with the screening of TV videos such as < Sanmao vagrancy, < oriental story, < Sanmao joining the army, etc. < Mr. Zhang Leping (1910-1992) is a famous comic master in Haitang township of Haiyan County. He created a large number of comic works in his life, and "Sanmao series" comic is his representative work.

The whole memorial hall has exquisite structure, unique shape and beautiful environment, and its name is inscribed by Mr. Ba Jin, a literary giant. There are Memorial room, creation room, exhibition room, activity room and reception room in the memorial hall. The museum has a collection of nearly one thousand original works of Mr. Zhang Leping, previous collections of paintings, as well as living photos and relics.

The memorial hall was named patriotic education base of Jiaxing City and patriotic education base of Haiyan County. The "National Children's cartoon base" sign awarded by the comics art committee of China Artists Association is placed in the memorial hall, marking Haiyan County, the "hometown of Sanmao", as the first children's cartoon creation base in China.
