Dong Haoyun shipping museum is jointly founded by Hong Kong's Dong's charity foundation and Shanghai Jiaotong University (founded in 1896) and is located in the new central courtyard of Jiaotong University. The building is a two-story, Western-style building with a patio. It is an early student dormitory of the school.
The exhibition hall covers an area of 600 square meters, with China Shipping History Museum and Dong Haoyun exhibition room, which will be permanently displayed. "Dong Haoyun shipping Museum" is a two-story Western-style building with a building area of 1300 square meters and an actual exhibition area of 600 square meters. The first floor is "China Shipping History Museum", and the second floor is "Dong Haoyun exhibition room".
"Dong Haoyun exhibition room" is divided into two parts: "ocean giant" and "land hero".
