Main attractions

Bodhi Temple

In the second year of Wu chiwu in the Three Kingdoms, Anting had a Bodhi temple. It is said that it was built by the mother of Wu Lord Sun Quan. An ancient pagoda, named Yong'an pagoda, was built across antingjing in the east of the temple. It was destroyed by fire in the Qing Dynasty. The newly built pagoda has nine floors on six sides, with a total height of 52.88 meters. Among them, the 10.8-meter-high pagoda is made of gold-plated brass, which is more elegant and magnificent, There is a river in front of the tower. There are three bridges at the junction of the two rivers. Two of them are new, and the old one is Yansi bridge.

Yan Siqiao

Yansi bridge, across antingjing, was rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. What is interesting is the couplet beside the bridge cave in the South: the cross river is divided into two counties, and the two cities gather people from all directions. The two counties refer to Kunshan and Jiading, and the two cities refer to the local people called Yansi bridge. In the south is xiao'anting, and in the north is da'anting. A pomegranate tree grows out of the stone on the east side of the bridge cave, with luxuriant branches and leaves and full of vitality. Yongan tower

Yong'an tower is located in the center of Anting old street. It has a history of 1800 years. On one side, there is the Bodhi temple, which is called the Millennium ancient temple. At the foot, there are the South and North antingjing and yansijing rivers flowing slowly. The towers, temples, bridges and rivers here constitute the landmark buildings of the old street. Zhenchuan Academy

To Anting, you have to go to Zhenchuan Academy. The site of Zhenchuan academy is in Anting middle school. At the end of Ming Dynasty, GUI Youguang, a famous essayist, led his wife and daughter to live in his father-in-law's Wang Zhiqian's house and lectured in "Shimei hall" for 13 years. During his lecture, "there were hundreds of scholars from all over the world, and he was called Mr. Zhenchuan in the sea." There is "Mr. Zhenchuan collection" handed down, for the "Ming Dynasty generation.". In 1828, in recognition of his achievements, Emperor Daoguang granted a memorial to governor Tao of Jiangsu Province and established "Zhenchuan academy". GUI Youguang was born in Kunshan. He was an official of Taipusi temple in Nanjing. He wrote Zhenchuan Wenji and was buried in jintongli (now the site of Kunshan post office). GUI Youguang's tomb was rebuilt in the 23rd year of the Republic of China. In 1956, it was designated as a provincial cultural relics protection unit. After ten years of turmoil, the tomb package was destroyed by the red guards, and now it is moved to the East Bridge to Zhenchuan garden.
