Located at Ruiying peak at the back of Nantai Temple of Hengshan Mountain, Nanyue City, Hengyang City, the diamond relic pagoda is the largest Pagoda in the south of the Yangtze River in China, with a height of 48 meters and an area of 233 square meters. The tower is divided into nine floors and eight sides. There are 256 steps around the wall of the pagoda. Two Buddha relic identified by the Ministry of cultural relics and China Buddhist Association are placed on the top floor. The construction of the tower started in July 1993 and was officially completed on May 15, 1998. More than 10000 believers at home and abroad attended the event. The pagoda is located on 24 meters of granite. It is a Song Dynasty style building with eight sides and nine floors. The ninth floor of the tower is dedicated to Sakyamuni's relic. As the relic is sacred, it is generally only for worship, not for visit. But visitors can climb to the eighth floor of the pagoda, overlooking the beautiful scenery, landscape and countryside, as well as the panoramic view of Nanyue city.

Vajra relic tower is located in Ruiying peak on the left side of Nantai temple. The tower is 48 meters high, nine story octagonal, stone concrete structure, along the inner wall there are 256 steps to the top. In the attic on the first floor, there is a standing statue of Sakyamuni, which is 5.4 meters high. On the second to eighth floors, there are Bodhisattva Manjusri, Bodhisattva mahangpuxian, Bodhisattva Guanyin, Bodhisattva dixizang, Bodhisattva liuliguang, Amitabha, and Buddha piluzhana. On the ninth floor, there are Buddhist relics. They are locked with iron doors and are not displayed easily. The top of the tower is covered with yellow glass, and the octagons fly up. There are corridors along the outer wall of each floor for overlooking. Around the pagoda and on the wall, there are murals of Buddha stories, five hundred Arhats, Gongde steles, poetry corridor, etc. it is exquisite and elegant, and can be called the most magnificent Pagoda Temple in the five provinces of central and southern China.

There are three meanings of "Vajra" in Vajra relic Tower: one is rare, the other is precious, and the third is firm. "Relic" is a strong son left by Buddha after cremation. It is rare in China and is a rare treasure. "Pagoda" is a transliteration of the Sanskrit pagoda. It is an architectural form of Buddhism. It is dedicated to the great virtue relic of Buddha, or to the Dharma Sutra. The pagoda of Vajra relic has eight sides and nine floors, which has profound meaning. Eight sides are eight sides, plus the following two sides are ten sides. It's the ninth floor, the ninth five. In short, it refers to the heaven and the world, the world of ten directions, only the Buddha is supreme. The tower is 48 meters high, that is to say, it will kick off the four eight thirty-two village of the Tathagata, which is incomparable.
