Xuteli Park

Xu Teli park is a memorial park built in memory of the great proletarian revolutionist and educator Xu Teli. The park is located in Xingsha Town, Changsha County, in the center of Xingsha University Town, adjacent to Changsha Normal University, Hunan Mass Media Vocational and technical college, and Changsha health vocational and technical college. It was formerly known as Xingsha ecological park, and later transformed into xuteli park. It was officially opened to the public in August 2005 and became a base for respecting teachers and education in Changsha. The park highlights the theme of commemoration and remembrance. The main entrance of xuteli Park faces south, and a 5-meter-high bronze statue of xuteli comes into view.

In the green pines and cypresses at the main entrance of the park, there is a tall bronze statue of Xu Teli. The bronze statue of Xu Teli was created and designed by Zhu Weijing, a famous sculptor in China. The statue is 8.5 meters high, with a base of 3 meters and a bronze statue of 5.5 meters. On both sides and behind the statue, there are layers of natural stones with waterfall effect, which symbolizes the long history of Xu Teli's spirit.

Shisheng Pavilion

The center of the hillside of xuteli park is Shien terrace. A semicircular stone wall in the middle of Shien terrace is engraved with Mao Zedong's heartfelt words to Xu Teli: "you are my husband 20 years ago, you are still my husband now, and you will still be my husband in the future." The back of the stone wall is engraved with Mao Zedong's personal letter congratulating Xu Teli on his 60th birthday in Yan'an in 1937. At the top of the park stands the Shisheng Pavilion, which displays Xu Teli's life story. Shisheng pavilion has four floors, the main body of which is an antique cantilever structure, and the roof has a modern architectural flavor.

The park inherits Xu's tradition of emphasizing education, and has built Xu Teli library with a collection of more than 100000 books and an art museum with a construction area of more than 1000 square meters. There are more than 20 distinctive scenic spots in the park, such as Canglang pool, corridor, message Pavilion, lotus pool, apricot altar, etc. the touching deeds of Mr. Xu Teli's life of emphasizing education and worrying about the country and the people are introduced through words.
