Jiulongkou is located in the southwest of Jiangying Town, Jianhu County, Jiangsu Province, and in the hinterland of Sheyang Lake. It is composed of nine natural rivers, namely, the Chan River, the Linshang River, the Qiangou River, the Anfeng River, the Xinshe River, the Xihe River, the Mohe River, the Jianhe River, and the Chenghe River, so it is called "jiulongkou".

Scenery

The scenery of jiulongkou is unique. The nine Milky Ways meander from different directions in the south, northwest and North, like nine jade dragons circling on the boundless green carpet. You can have a panoramic view of the sky and lake. In March of spring, reed sprouts come out of the water. They are green, delicate and fresh. They are far away from the sky. The reflection of the new willow hanging around the dike, shuttling the Chai Yan to sweep the sky. On the morning of spring and summer, there are ten thousand hectares of reed beach, dew drops are green, the sun is rising, reflecting thousands of rays, the morning wind is blowing, and the green leaves are swaying and shining, which is magnificent. In the scorching summer, the floating waves of the rhombic leaves are inlaid with Jasper, and the lotus flowers are red in the sun.

Jiulongkou is rich in resources. It has many kinds of waterfowl and game, and is rich in fish, shrimp, crab and turtle. Therefore, it has the reputation of "golden beach and silver pond". The water quality of jiulongkou lake is the first-class national water quality, and it has been named "the Pearl of Lixia River" by experts and scholars. With its splendid history and culture, beautiful scenery and unique resources, jiulongkou has won the favor of Chinese and foreign tourists.

There is a beautiful legend in jiulongkou: a long time ago, there was a python who often came out to do evil and harm the villagers. Sometimes the mouth spits the flood, submerges the farmhouse and the crops; sometimes sucks the swaying water, causes the crops to wither. There are nine green dragons in the East Sea. After hearing the news, they are determined to punish the evil. Because of Python's cunning, they are extremely powerful and difficult to deal with. Nine Dragons plunge into the bottom. Together with the body pressure python, finally the python Suffocated at the bottom of the water, in addition to harm for the people. However, the nine dragons were so strong that they were embedded in the soil and became nine rivers.

Jiulongkou is rich in resources, including 64 kinds of wild animals, 75 kinds of wild plants, 62 kinds of trees, 36 kinds of aquatic products, and more than 3000 hectares of Dangtan. It is known as a natural "cornucopia", "Jintan yindang" and "Lixiahe pearl". In March of spring, reed sprouts come out of the water, willows droop and purple swallows sweep the sky; in the scorching sun, dew drops, green leaves sway and lotus reflect the sun, it is a good summer resort; in autumn, the wind blows and grass rustles, reed flowers are more common than people; in winter, the fishing village is near the water, the wind is broad, there are no mountains in the sea, and the setting sun is late. Eleven natural landscapes, such as "Jiulong Xizhu", "Wugu Qishu", "Ludang sunset", "Longlou reflection", "morning mist gossamer", "watching fish in Hegang" and "green wave boating", are more beautiful and refreshing. The grain tree on Longzhu island is named because its fruit looks like grains. CCTV and Jiangsu Education TV have successively shot the beautiful scenery of "jiulongkou" into feature films, which are broadcast in such columns as "the charm of Kyushu", "economic panorama" and "beautiful China".

To pay homage to the traitor, Yancheng Municipal Bureau of culture, broadcasting and tourism issued a proposal to all medical workers in the city to visit the scenic spots free of admission.
