Shaanxi Taiping National Forest Park Co., Ltd. is located in Taipingyu, Fuyi District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, 44 km away from Xi'an and 60 km away from Xianyang. It is a famous national AAAA scenic spot in the northern foot of Qinling Mountains.

The annual average temperature of the scenic spot is 7-10 ℃, and the forest coverage rate is more than 96%. The primeval forest is well protected, rich in resources and various types. It is said that "bauhinia in the world originates from Taiping"!

Taiping National Forest Park, as the core scenic spot of Zhongnanshan World Geopark, is located in the middle mountain area of Qinling Mountains. It belongs to the ice crystal top ductile shear zone and tectonic migmatization park. It is divided into huangyangba structural waterfall landscape group, Shimen migmatite landscape group, yuegongtan canyon landscape group and virgin forest landscape group. Taiping scenic spot is located in the North Qinling orogenic belt, the secondary tectonic unit of Qinling orogenic belt. From the perspective of plate tectonic paleoenvironment, it is located in the north of guhaigou, near the side of the continent.

Climatic characteristics

Huxian County of Shaanxi Province, which belongs to Taiping National Forest Park, is a warm temperate humid continental monsoon climate zone with distinct cold, warm, dry and wet seasons.

The average annual temperature is 7-10 ℃, and it is only 29 ℃ in the hottest summer.

According to the research of plant experts of Chinese Academy of forestry, bauhinia in Taiping National Forest Park is the earliest birthplace of bauhinia in China.

Mountain resources

Taiping National Forest Park is located in the North Qinling tectonic belt, a secondary tectonic unit of the Qinling orogenic belt. From the perspective of plate tectonics and paleoenvironment, it is located in the north of the ancient trench and the side close to the mainland (north of the present plate suture zone). The main part of the strata in Taiping scenic area belongs to the Paleoproterozoic Qinling group. The protoliths are continental margin clastic rocks and a small amount of continental overflow tholeiitic basalt and acidic volcanic rocks, which were formed 2.2 billion years ago and are the basement of volcanic island arc. Due to the high heat flow value of the ancient island arc and the strong tectonic movements such as plate subduction, collision and intracontinental orogeny, extensive deformation metamorphism, migmatization and multi-stage magmatic intrusion occurred in the Qinling group in the Paleozoic, with the Caledonian intermediate and high-grade regional metamorphism as the main function (440 million years ago). Since the Cenozoic, fault structure, weathering and denudation have finally formed today's rich and colorful geological structure relics.

Yunei Taiping Forest Park is rich in plant resources and has many kinds of plants. There are ancient pure larch forest, red birch forest, Bauhinia, spring, summer, autumn and winter, and different mountain colors.

Animal resources

There are many kinds of wild animals in the park. There are more than 30 kinds of first and second class animals protected by the state. Sumen antelope, Qingyang, forest musk deer, hedgehog, golden pheasant, long tailed pheasant, thrush and other wild animals often appear in the woods, streams and roadsides, forming a large landscape of the park. In February 1999, the park released a group of macaques, a national second-class protected animal, adding a precious species to the north slope of Qinling Mountains and a scenic spot to the park.

Water resources

The waterfall is the most beautiful in the park. There are 12 large and small waterfalls with a maximum drop of 160m, and they are concentrated in the range of 2.5km. Among them, rainbow waterfall, xianheqiao waterfall, Yanxia waterfall and Longkou waterfall are the most distinctive, which are good places for tourists to experience the charm of landscape.

The whole area of Taiping National Forest Park is characterized by wide height difference, numerous cliffs, overlapping peaks, continuous valleys, waterfalls, rapids and dangerous beaches, forming a rich and wonderful natural landscape. There are Shimen, yuegongtan, shichuanzi, huangyangba and hualinwan in the park.

Shimen Scenic Area

Shimen scenic spot is about 3 kilometers from the coal yard to shalingzi. The main theme of the scenic spot is stone scenery, flower scenery and water scenery. The main scenic spots of the scenic spot are: Turtle looking at the peak, mother and son looking forward to return, Shimen, yixiantian, Longjiling, jiangjunfeng, yishanfo and banded migmatite.

The scenic spot is named after the huge stone "Shimen" inscribed by Ouyang Xun. Here, the grotesque rocks are jagged, the mountains turn round, and the huge stones are in different shapes, forming a vivid landscape.

Huangyangba scenic spot

From shalingzi to rainbow waterfall, the total length is 4.7 km. The terrain has its own characteristics, such as stone scenery, Cliff (rock) scenery and forest scenery. In particular, the eight waterfalls and eighteen pools are the best in the north of China.

There are 12 large and small waterfalls in huangyangba scenic area, with a maximum drop of 160 meters and a concentration of 2.5 kilometers. Among them, rainbow waterfall, xianheqiao waterfall, Yanxia waterfall and Longkou waterfall are the most distinctive.

The water splashed down the boulder, and the scattered water formed rainbows due to the reflection and refraction of sunlight.

Yuegongtan scenic spot

Yuegongtan scenic area starts from qingshuicha in the north and ends at toudaocha in the south, covering an area of 1240 hectares. Along the way, the river is steep and narrow, the rapids are zigzag, the deep pools are connected, the boulders are covered with water, the trees are dense, and the fog is peak shaped. It highlights the natural landscape composed of Canyon, Qingliu and primeval forest.

Shichuanzi scenic spot

Shichuanzi scenic spot has steep mountains, many cliffs, dense forests, and primitive forest scenery.

Hualin Bay scenic spot

The Hualin Bay scenic spot is connected with the shichuanzi scenic spot. There are ancient pure larch forest and fir forest. Wild animals often appear in the forest, which is very strange. The main scenic spots are: red birch windward, Rhododendron pure forest.

In Hualin Bay scenic area, there are lots of natural red birch forests between 2000-2700 meters above sea level. The tree trunk is red, and the peeled cortex is dancing with the wind, so the windward landscape of red birch gets its name.

Hualin Bay scenic area is 2800-3000 meters above sea level, with rhododendrons distributed all over the mountain. The flowers bloom in May and June every year, forming a beautiful landscape.

Development and construction

Infrastructure

In March 2009, the Taiping passenger ropeway of Taiping National Forest Park was completed and put into operation.

On July 25, 2015, Taiping National Forest Park tourism line was opened.

On August 10, 2015, we media booking system of Zhuque Taiping Forest Park was officially put into operation.

In 1997, in order to adjust the industrial structure, Huxian Taiping forest farm was established.

In 1999, it was approved by Shaanxi Provincial Administration of industry, commerce and tourism to be named Shaanxi Taiping forest park.

In December 2004, he was promoted to National Forest Park.

Since 2004, "Bauhinia Festival" has been held every April.

In July 2010, it was rated as national AAAA scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration.
