Huilong Park

Huilong park is located in Huilong mountain, southwest of the western district. The park is named after the mountain. Covering an area of 18600 square meters, it is a natural botanical garden, integrating scenic spots and modern landscape architecture. There are 157 species of woody plants belonging to 110 genera and 52 families in the park, including 54 species of arbors, 36 species of ornamental trees, 27 species of precious and fast-growing timber trees, and some ancient relict trees. On the top of the mountain, there is Qixia Temple, an ancient temple of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and the tomb tower of monk Yu Yuan. There was the tomb of Deng Baoyan, an important general of the Kuomintang during the first cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, who died in the northern expedition. There is the tomb of Zhou Zefan, an old man of the 1911 Revolution and an important general who opposed the Northern Warlords. Modern landscape architecture has unique octagonal pavilion, hexagonal pavilion, rockery and so on. The Qixia Temple in the garden is an ancient temple with a history of more than 1500 years. It was built by the venerable Shi rumiduo of India who came to China during the reign of emperor Xiaowu of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (373-396 AD). Pei Xiu, the famous Prime Minister of the Tang Dynasty, often went back and forth here to give lectures in Yiyang. Here is not only a beautiful scenery, but also leisure and entertainment, worship Buddha.
