Songzong town

Bomi County, Nyingchi City, Tibet Autonomous Region governs towns and nine administrative villages, including Jiaoda village, deba village, Gangba village, Duoge village, Nayu village, Jiaotong village, Dongqu village, Dongya village and GNI village.

It is located in the southeast of Bomi County, Linzhi City, Tibet, 41 kilometers east of the county, next to national highway 318, 35 kilometers to Jixiang and 23 kilometers to Yupu township.

Songzong township was established in 1989. In 1996, it covers an area of 860 square kilometers and has a population of 14000. It has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages including zhongdui, Zhongmai, Jiada, deba, GNI, langqiu, Longya, Duoge, Chalu and Gangba.

Town name

In Tibetan, "song" means three, and "Zong" means gathering. The name of songzong comes from the combination of the three small temples in songzong temple, and there is also a saying that the three forks meet.

Culture and education

On November 21, 2017, the cloud classroom of songzong Town Central Primary School was officially put into use. Volunteers from Peking University and North China University will regularly teach students art, music and other courses through remote control.

In June 2019, there are 19 teachers and 179 students in songzong Central Primary School.

Art Festival

Songzong town of Bomi county holds a horse racing festival every year, including horse racing, equestrian performance and folk song and dance competition.

Main attractions

The main scenic spot of songzong tourist scenic spot: Longya Shouquan: it is located on the side of national highway 318, 1km east of Longya village, songzong town. The height of Shouquan is 300m away from national highway 318, 60m away from Shouquan. There is a flat land with an area of 500 square meters. The mountain on the back of Shouquan is more than 4000 meters high, 27km away from the county government and 14km away from songzong town government. This place is rich in tourism resources, humid climate, rich products, convenient transportation, electricity, radio and television, telephone.

Longya village is 15km west of songzong town government, beside National Highway 318. It is divided into two natural villages, Longya and Xinkang. The village is mainly agricultural, supplemented by forestry resources, and has realized six links. Mount Jiajia and mount bade in the east of Song Dynasty: 1km away from songzong town government and 1km away from national highway 318. The best observation point is in the village of GNI, songzong town. The river is on the west side and the mountain peak is on the east side. In Song Dynasty, bade mountain is said to have been together with kawagabo mountain (also known as Meilin Snow Mountain) in Yunnan. It is known as one of the thirteen most famous holy places in the world. Its main peak is 5028 meters above sea level. It is said that there is a cave for master lianhuasheng to practice, a stone statue of King Gesar and a hot spring on Mount bade in the east of Song Dynasty. There are "five beast gods" in the center and four directions, with millions of heavenly soldiers guarding. The natural stone shows the letter of "six character mantra". Princess Wencheng once worshiped this holy mountain. At the same time, it is also the holy land of the Benbo sect, with the fossil images of Sakyamuni and melareba, the founder of Gaju sect, and the saying that "you can become a Buddha if you visit here.". Jiajia mountain was formerly known as arizori. The part close to the top of the mountain is made up of slate. The longitude is long and distinct. After weathering, it forms several layers of long steps. From April to may or September to October every year, when snow melts off a part of the slate cliff, from a distance, it shows the same castle pattern as the Potala Palace, and also looks like the pattern on the armor of the ancient soldiers, so it is called armor mountain. This place is rich in tourism resources, humid climate, rich products, convenient transportation, electricity, radio and television, telephone. Basic information of the village where the scenic spot is located: Jiaoda village is 1 km to the east of songzong town government. There are 32 households and 173 people in the village. The village is mainly agricultural, supplemented by the collection of forest resources and Cordyceps, and has realized six links. Nanyu sister hot spring: Nanyu hot spring is located in zuorugou of Nanyu village ranch in songzong Town, 31 kilometers away from Nanyu village, 32 kilometers away from songzong town and 318 national highway, 74 kilometers away from the county. There are two springs with a water temperature difference of 5 degrees. The hot spring is close to zuoruhe on the opposite side, 150 square meters in the west, and 90 square meters in the East.
