This is a small village between zhonghutiao and xiahutiao. The village is full of walnut trees, so it has this name.

In the old days, there were three walnut orchards outside Chaoyang Gate. One is here, one is to the southeast of the entrance of the altar, and the other is to the south of the Ritan. The easternmost part of this place is called donghetaoyuan, which used to be a village. South of Ritan is called South walnut garden. They all got their names from walnut trees. According to the cloud, the walnut trees here are planted in the cemetery beside the village. In the 1950s, it was the cotton experimental base of the Ministry of agriculture, so it was once also called cotton land. Later, it gradually became a residential area and was named after it in July 1982. Because the other two walnut orchards no longer exist.

Guandongdian North Street on the south side of walnut garden is the old road of Erdaogou. On the north side of the walnut garden, Beili was a crematorium and cemetery in the 1950s. In the 1960s, it was changed into a storage yard for building materials. Later, Beijing prosthetic factory and Beijing vacuum instrument factory were built here to build staff dormitory. Residential buildings were built in the early 1980s. In the west, there are Beijing prosthetic factory, Beijing latex factory and Beijing Vacuum Instrument Factory, which are arranged from north to south along the east side of nansanlitun. At the same time, Zhejiang Lishui merchants' investment of 30 million yuan in porous sintered brick project, Zhejiang Merchants' investment of 50 million yuan in combed yarn project, Zhejiang Taizhou merchants' investment of 50 million yuan in fluorescent tube production project and so on have initially reached the investment intention.

Direction of urban construction
