The village is surrounded by snowy mountains. When the four peaks of Geling, Xiana, buwangla and dayuzhangdui surround, each snowy mountain pushes down huge fan-shaped glaciers, forming barrier lakes in the front of glaciers. Laigu village is scattered between glaciers and snowy mountains. Cattle and sheep go out of the house. Chickens and dogs sing to each other. It is a beautiful place with idyllic fields, Buddhist pagodas and mulberry smoke.

When you come to see the ancient glaciers, you can take all the regular buses from Chengdu, Lhasa, Changdu and Linzhi to Ranwu Town, and then rent a car to the ancient village. You can also take the bus to Chayu in Changdu or Linzhi, and get off through zongba village. It's only about 10 kilometers from zongba village to the ancient village. You can drive from Chengdu or Kunming along the Sichuan Tibet highway to Ranwu Town, then turn to the provincial road to Chayu, walk along the provincial road for about 10 km to see the memorial archway of the laigu glacier, then turn to the village road of the memorial archway, and walk 10 km to the ancient village. Ordinary cars and vans can only park in front of the archway door at most. If they want to re-enter, they must use off-road vehicles and wade through many rivers. It takes 10 to 12 hours to walk from Ranwu town to the ancient village on foot. Along the way, there are several villages to rest. All the way is picturesque. You can go back to Ranwu town on the same day by car or by car. It takes two to three days to walk.

When you come to the ancient village, you can stay in a Tibetan hotel for about 30 to 50 yuan. In addition, tickets will be charged when entering the village.

Glacier scenery can be seen all the year round. If you have enough time, you can walk half a day to the foot of Dongga glacier. However, due to the obstruction of ice lake, the nearest glacier can only reach the ice surface in winter.
