The former site of the New Fourth Army reconstruction headquarters is located in Taishan temple, 126 Jianjun West Road, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. In January 1941, the New Fourth Army rebuilt its headquarters in Yancheng, the old revolutionary base area, after the South Anhui Incident. On February 27 of the same year, the military headquarters was stationed in the temple. Taishan temple has three halls and two chambers: the front hall was burned by the Japanese army and has been restored. The main hall is the combat room of the headquarters of the New Fourth Army. The back hall is the Sutra collection building, with three East and three West Wing rooms.
