Pingdingshan Peak Park, May 14, Weidong District Tourism Bureau staff and construction workers together in the south slope of Pingdingshan determine the pile position of the cableway. The cableway of the Peak Park will be completed before November 2014, and it will become a scenic spot in Weidong district and even Pingdingshan City.

In order to give full play to the advantages of eco-tourism resources and provide citizens with a good place for leisure and entertainment, Weidong district decided to start the development and transformation of Pingdingshan Peak Park.

Weidong district will develop Pingdingshan in a reasonable and orderly way around the "six elements" of tourism (food, housing, transportation, tourism, shopping and entertainment). Weidong district will build Pingdingshan scenic area gate 50-100 meters north of the intersection of the urban North Ring Road and Qingyun Road, build a 10000 meter light show from Xinhua Road overpass to the Peak Park Square, build Pingdingshan landmark building in the Peak Park Square, and build Zhuge culture field on the north side of the square to highlight the profound cultural heritage of Pingdingshan City. The northwest corner of the Peak Park is planned as an amusement park, which will be equipped with large amusement facilities. In addition, a 300 meter long antique street of catering and entertainment culture will be planned. At the same time, a number of mountain view houses were built along the south slope of Pingdingshan to improve the consumption level.

At present, the development and transformation of Pingdingshan Peak Park has been officially launched. Weidong district Party committee and government have established Pingdingshan Scenic Area Management Office, and entrusted Beijing Huahan tourism planning and Design Institute to make a detailed planning of Pingdingshan peak. "Through efforts, we will build Pingdingshan into a bright pearl in the city's tourism industry chain, and make Pingdingshan Peak Park a real back garden for citizens' leisure and entertainment."
