National Defense Education Museum

National Defense Education Museum (room) is an important site for national defense education in Xiangtan area of Hunan Province. The museum was built in 1989.

Zhang Aiping inscribed the name of the museum and Guo Linxiang inscribed his ci. Xiangtan National Defense Education Hall is divided into indoor and outdoor parts. The outdoor part is located on the left lawn of the youth palace building, covering an area of 420 meters. The main display of aircraft, artillery, radar, rocket large weapons and equipment. The interior part is located in the hall on the right side of the youth palace building. In addition to displaying some small weapons and equipment and 12 display cabinets, there is also an exhibition wall, which is divided into three exhibition areas: "know our national defense", "for our national defense" and "strengthen our national defense". The exhibition area of "know our national defense" is composed of some basic knowledge about national defense, the development history of the PLA, the development and current situation of the armed police, the glorious history of Chinese militia, etc.; the exhibition area of "for our national defense" is composed of "several celebrities see our Xiangtan", "supporting the army and strengthening our great wall", etc.; and the exhibition area of "strengthening our national defense" is composed of "historical alarm bell ringing", etc.
