Xiaonanmen

Shenyang Xiaonanmen, also known as "tianyoumen", was built from the first year of Tiancong to the fifth year of Tiancong (1627-1631 AD). It is one of the nine gates in Shengjing. It is located in the south section of Zhengyang Street. In the early 1950s, it was demolished in order to improve traffic, but the name of Xiaonanmen was still kept.

Now the road pattern of Fangcheng in Shenyang retains the pattern of Shengjing City, that is, the pattern of "well". Zhongjie Road, Shenyang Road, Zhengyang Street and Chaoyang Street are expanded on the basis of the original four "well" roads running through the city. Four roads surround the Forbidden City in the middle, and the four roads correspond to the eight gates in and out of the city, namely "eight gates to eight streets". To the east of the city, there is the small East Gate (Neizhi gate) in the north and the big east gate (Fujin gate) in the south. To the south of the city, the west is the small South Gate (Tianyou gate), and the East is the big south gate (Desheng Gate). To the west of the city, the north is xiaoximen (waichuanmen), and the south is daximen (Huaiyuanmen). To the north of the city, the west is the small North Gate (dizai gate), and the East is the big north gate (Fusheng gate).

Xiaonan Church

Shenyang Catholic Church, also known as Shenyang Nanguan Catholic Church, is located at No. 40, Nanlejiao Road, Xiaonan street, Shenhe District, Shenyang City. The church was originally built in 1878 (the fourth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty). It was built by French missionary earthwork ruowang. It was burned by the boxers in 1900, and the existing building was rebuilt in 1912 by Bishop supelis of France, the Diocese of Southern Manchuria, using the Boxer Indemnity in the Treaty of sinchou. The overall architectural pattern follows the architectural form of the European Renaissance, which is a typical Gothic architecture.
