Wang's courtyard Shanhaiguan folk custom museum (dongsantiao)

Wang's courtyard is known as the first one of the Great Wall. Wang's family rose in Xianfeng years. It was once rich and was known as Shanhaiguan: "South half city". Wang's courtyard was built in Xianfeng Period of Qing Dynasty. Its owner was a salt merchant in Shanxi Province. It is said that Chen Yuanyuan, a beautiful woman of the generation, once lived in the original site of the Wangs' courtyard in Shanhaiguan. Wang's courtyard is known as the first one of the Great Wall. Wang's family rose in Xianfeng years. It was once rich and was known as Shanhaiguan: "South half city". Shanhaiguan Wangjiayuan was built in the Ming Dynasty and flourished in the late Qing Dynasty. It is a typical Ming and Qing Dynasty courtyard complex. Covering an area of 10 mu, it has 18 exhibition halls and more than 10000 kinds of exhibits, ranging from bed furniture to needle and thread, from gold and silver jewelry to clothes and cloth, Candlestick lights, bed and cabinet tables, pillow and box covers, scarves, shoes and socks, copper pots and utensils, enamel cups and plates, cleaning utensils to zhuyuzhenwan, four treasures of the study rich content. It is a special museum in Shanhaiguan area to collect and display folk goods, display life utensils of Ming and Qing Dynasties, study folk customs and carry forward traditional folk culture.
