Yubin Mansion

This old house built of bluestone was originally No. 6 courtyard, East yubinfu street, old street beside Daming Lake. It was built in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. Daming Lake scenic spot was preserved in the expansion, and became Yibin mansion scenic spot after transformation.

According to historical data, "Yibin" is the general name of the prince of the imperial clan, the son-in-law of the prefectural king, the son-in-law of the grandson, the son-in-law of the great grandson, and the son-in-law of the great grandson in the Ming Dynasty. It is said that there was once a Chen Yibin who lived here. Later, the street was named "Yubin" by the homophony of Yibin. The map of Jinan in the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty is marked with "Yibin mansion" here, and the renewal of Licheng county annals is also marked with Dongxi Yubin mansion street.

According to the staff of Daming Lake, after the completion of the scenic spot, few tourists came in to visit, resulting in poor box office revenue. It was learned that because ordinary tourists lacked historical knowledge, they misunderstood "Yibin house" as "funeral home" and did not dare to enter without permission. To avoid misunderstanding, the scenic spot decided to change its name after consideration.
