Taiyuan Shanxi Merchants Museum

Taiyuan Shanxi Merchants museum is the first large-scale museum in China to display Shanxi Merchants' culture. Located in the southeast of Yingze Park, the main exhibition area of the museum faces east from west. The order is archway, Mountain Gate, first entrance courtyard and second entrance courtyard. The second entrance courtyard has a stage, stele Pavilion, stone archway, Xian hall and main hall.

The biggest highlight of museum construction is that it has absorbed the essence of traditional architecture of Shanxi Merchants guild hall, and has used brick carving, stone carving and wood carving technology with Shanxi characteristics to become a superb hall building with unique humanistic connotation, commercial culture and architectural charm. Taiyuan Shanxi Merchants museum is a collection, exhibition, discussion, reception, outreach and other functions in one. It is the first large-scale museum in China to display the culture of Shanxi merchants. The museum has more than 300 groups of cultural relics and exhibits, about 500 pieces. The exhibition forms are supplemented by sound, light, electricity and other modern scientific and technological means, so that visitors can better feel the culture and spirit of Shanxi merchants.
