In 1900, kunzuo, a German missionary, founded the Berlin Church in Qinghe Road, east town of Qingdao. In 1925, the Church of Berlin transferred all the church property in Shandong to the Christian Lutheran Church of the United States, and the Church of Qinghe Road was renamed Qinghe Road Church of Qingdao Christian Chinese Lutheran Church. In 1935, Yang Guangen was the first Chinese pastor of the Qinghe Road church.
