Baofu Temple
Baofu temple is located at the south foot of Baofu mountain, Baofu village, Xiangshan community, Hongshan Town, Gulou District, the western suburb of Fuzhou City. Its full name is Longshou Baofu temple. It was built in 561, the second year of Chen Tianjia in the Southern Dynasty. It is an old temple in Fuzhou.
During the Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty (1368-1398), it was rebuilt and rebuilt in Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of 795 square meters and sits east to west. The main buildings are Mountain Gate, Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall, Qitian hall, Xiangji kitchen, etc. The main hall is three rooms wide and seven columns deep. It has a wooden frame with a double slope top and wind and fire walls on both sides. The temple is dilapidated. It was rebuilt in recent years. Originally, there were two iron trees about 3.7 meters high in the backyard. There is still a sitting statue of Monkey King carved in the Ming Dynasty in the temple.
