Luopoling reservoir

Luopoling reservoir is located in Mentougou District of Beijing, near Luopoling of seshufen township. It is the regulating reservoir of Xiaweidian hydropower station. It was completed in June 1978. The total storage capacity is 3.65 million cubic meters, and the controlled drainage area is 1304 square kilometers. The dam is a concrete gravity dam with a maximum height of 19.5m, a crest length of 220.75m and a width of 4.75m. The spillway is a crest overflow with a maximum discharge of 3372 m3 / s. The reservoir water is transported to Xiaweidian hydropower station for power generation through a 2.4km long tunnel, with an average annual power generation of 120 million kwh. In addition, an irrigation canal with a total length of 3 km is built to irrigate nearly 2000 mu of farmland. The fengsha line, the Menda line, the Xiaweidian qingshuijian road and the railway are next to the reservoir. Mainly water activities.
