Iceberg beam

Iceberg ridge is located at the junction of Chicheng County and Guyuan County in Hebei Province. Its main peak is 2211 meters above sea level. It faces laozhanggou primeval forest scenic spot from east to west. It is more than 39 miles long from east to west, 40 miles from north to south, and more than 2200 meters above sea level. It is the first peak on Bashang mountain. There are many kinds of plants and dense vegetation around the scenic area. Alpine meadows, alpine forests, scattered.

Iceberg ridge is a rare relic of ancient glaciers ice erosion planation surface. It provides strong evidence for the law of glacial activity in the west of Beijing, and has high geological research value. There are many wind moving stones in iceberg ridge, such as toad rock, turtle watching the sea, jade girl watching the moon, lion rolling Hydrangea, hen laying eggs and so on. The stone sea wonder is produced by the interaction of ice erosion and wind erosion. There are many strange things in different shapes, and stone mortars of different sizes are distributed on the rocks. The larger one is about 1 meter, and the smaller one is only more than 10 centimeters. The famous scholars of all dynasties have left Inscriptions: "mountain soul", "forbidden spectacle", "Kongtong Yixiu", "Shiyuan", "qingri Jieyue", "Shilin" and so on. The iceberg summit is also known for its vastness. The top of the mountain covers an area of 26 square kilometers. It is a quasi plain landform with rich soil, beautiful water and lush vegetation.

history

Iceberg beam was originally named wuyunshan. It is said that in ancient times, there was a Earth Dragon on this mountain, which could puff clouds and make mischief. In an instant, it would cover the whole mountain with thick fog, and finally it was subdued by Erlang God.

Bingshanliang is a dangerous pass defended by heavy troops in the past dynasties, and remains of the ancient battlefield are still preserved. In Ming Dynasty, Liu tingbing was trapped in the iceberg and would rather die than surrender. In memory of this national hero, later generations wrote this period of history as a drama "the story of the stone box", and changed Wuyun mountain into Bingshan. Later, people felt that Bingshan was towering and its peak was covered with snow all the year round. Bingshan was called iceberg again and has been handed down to this day. On the north side of the iceberg is still Liu Ting's training platform. Dianjiangtai is a huge white stone 20 meters long, 20 meters wide and 3 meters high. Eight meters away from dianjiangtai, there is a stone pillar with a height of two meters, commonly known as Shuanma stake. There is a stone trough on the north side of the mountain, in which spring water gushes out. It is said that Liu Ting's army can't drink all the water from the stone trough.

In the main peak of the southern tip of the iceberg, there is a chessboard platform, which is built on a white stone with a red background of about 15 square meters. The chessboard is like a mat, and the pieces are like grinding. The chessboard and pieces are carved with stones. Some of the pieces are inside the board, and some are scattered outside the board. There is a stone slot at the bottom of the chess piece in the plate. It's about to be pushed and can't be picked up. The chess piece is 25 cm high and 50 cm in diameter. Around the platform, it is as steep as a chip. The ancients called it a dangerous place where "birds are hard to settle down and apes are worried about climbing". There are only some small holes in the stone crevice and the stone wall. If people step on it, they will fall to pieces if they neglect it.

Iceberg beam is a pearl of Bashang grassland. The scenery here is beautiful, the climate is pleasant, there are all kinds of trees, there are hundreds of wild herbs, wolves, tigers, leopards, birds and animals have their traces. It can be said that it is a tourist resort and paradise.

It's about 220 kilometers from Beijing to bingshanliang. Take Badaling Expressway, pass Yanqing and reach the exit of Chicheng. It's 50 kilometers north from Chicheng County to bingshanliang.

Ancient city of Yunzhou

Before arriving at Yunzhou reservoir, I suddenly saw a broken ancient castle by the side of the road, and the outline of the whole city could be seen. The ancient city is still of a large scale. You can still remember the traces of the layered consolidation of the city walls. Yunzhou has a long history. In ancient times, it was Wangyun county. In Ming Dynasty, it was the residence of the general of Shangbei road. During the period of the Japanese puppet and Kuomintang governments, it was the residence of the district government. In 1953, it was set up again.

Yunzhou reservoir

Yunzhou reservoir is located in sheshenyashan gorge in the north of Yunzhou village, Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. It is a large-scale water conservancy project mainly for flood control and irrigation on the Baihe River, a tributary of Chaobai River system. As an important source of drinking water in Beijing, Yunzhou reservoir enjoys the reputation of "the Pearl on the wall".

Yunzhou dam was built in 1969, with a length of 183.4 meters, a height of 43.15 meters and a storage capacity of 102 million cubic meters. The downstream of Yunzhou reservoir is Baihebao reservoir, and then there is Miyun reservoir. Therefore, Yunzhou reservoir is also of great significance to Beijing's flood control. The reservoir was put into operation in 1972 and has played a huge role in more than 30 years. In particular, the flood control benefit is particularly significant, which plays a role in flood detention and peak shaving of Baihebao reservoir in Beijing.

Sacrifice cliff

Sheshen cliff is located 18 kilometers north of Chicheng County. The mountain here is like a huge stone with many stone carvings. Look at the house in the lower right corner to see how big the boulder is!

Huguo Temple

Huguo temple is located in the east of Yunzhou reservoir and Sheshen cliff, 15 kilometers north of Chicheng County. According to the inscriptions, the Huguo temple dates back to the Jiajing period, about a few kilometers from the road.
