Mercedes Benz Cultural Center (Expo Cultural Center)

Mercedes Benz cultural center is shaped like a flying saucer. Different angles and spaces will take on different forms. In the daytime, it is like a "shuttle of time and space" and a "shell of art sea"; in the night, it is like a "floating city". Lupu Bridge on the northwest side of the building is used as the centralized layout of the background, and the soft architectural form is integrated into the riverside park green space; it is organically integrated with the Expo Celebration Square; it interacts, transforms and connects with the indoor and outdoor of the 10000 people Celebration Square; it echoes and coordinates with the Expo Axis on the west side, the Expo Center and the China Pavilion on the south side. It has a 18000 seat main hall, as well as music club, cinema, skating rink, restaurant and retail area. As one of the most important permanent venues of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, Mercedes Benz cultural center will undertake all kinds of large-scale performances and activities to meet the needs of large-scale artistic performances of the Expo.
