Former residence of Zhang Zuoxiang

Zhang Zuoxiang's former residence is a three story brick concrete western style building with exquisite architectural design, variable concave and convex walls, inlaid with Western-style carvings, scattered roof height, flat roof slope combination, unique style. The main building is equipped with green stone steps on both sides, luxurious interior decoration, and exquisite fireplace. It is a Western classical architecture. The building is in good condition.

Former residence of Zhang Zuoxiang

The building reaches Hubei Road in the East, Chongqing Road in the south, Macao Road in the West and Zhengzhou road in the north. It covers an area of 1619 square meters and a building area of 1370 square meters. Zhang Zuoxiang, whose name is Fuchen (1881-1949), was born in Yixian, Fengtian (now Liaoning). Feng was a warlord general who graduated from the Northeast lecture hall in 1911 and assisted Zhang zuolin and Zhang Xueliang's father

Zi was in power in Northeast China and served as deputy commander of northeast frontier defense and chairman of Jilin provincial government. In 1933, he left his job because of the heat and loss, and came to Tianjin to buy the building and live in seclusion. During this period, the puppet government repeatedly sent people to coerce and induce them to take up the post of puppet government, but they were all rejected. In early 1949, Zhang Zuoxiang died of a heart attack in his apartment.
